Lexham Gardens is set down a quiet right-of-way, within a large, secure garden.

There is plenty of carparking for your guests and visitors, who simply ring the bell to be let in, and where possible, you're encouraged go out with your family and friends.

Enjoy spending time in the large lounge or feel free to take a walk around the garden and surrounding areas.  Everything is on one level, so there are no steps to worry about.
There are 46 premium rooms, all with ensuites.

Our hand-picked, friendly Caregivers have been chosen for their professionalism and clinical expertise.  Providing 24 hour care, along with a Registered Nurse on duty for emergencies. 

A dedicated Activities Coordinator will ensure you have access to engaging and interactive activities to join in on, and be prepared... there will be fun and laughter included!

Purpose-built, premium facility

Lexham Gardens is a purpose-built, premium facility, where our Number One priority is the comfort and care of our residents.

The building, gardens, bedrooms and bathrooms are constantly maintained to a high standard, ensuring safety and cleanliness.

With a resident capacity of up to 50 people, we are small enough to be a big family.

Most bedrooms are single, along with four double rooms, which means couples can stay together.

All bedrooms have heating, call bells, wardrobes, bedside lighting, lovely furniture and ensuites.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with pictures, ornaments, and furniture.

Personal belongings, like an armchair, wedding photos/family photos, will help residents to recognise their own room and make them feel at home.

We aim to provide a quality, homely environment in which the frail elderly (and/or confused elderly) may live in an atmosphere of respect and friendliness and have their physical and psychological needs met regardless of culture, race or creed.

Philosophy

To assist all residents to maintain their independence and involvement in making decisions affecting their lives to the highest level possible for everyone.
  • Encourage each resident and their family/whanau to be involved in the planning and provision of care.
  • Encourage a high level of wellness by maintaining a caring and stimulating environment.
  • Encourage residents to maintain outside contacts with family/whanau, friends, church and other relevant groups.
  • Facilitate mixing with other residents and joining in activities. Encourage all residents to maintain links with cultural or spiritual needs and ensure staff are knowledgeable and sensitive to the values and beliefs which are important to the resident. This will be reflected in training.
  • Ensure consultation acknowledges cultural differences. 
This is a residential care facility. The facility is purpose built for the care of the elderly and is certified by the Ministry of Health to accommodate residents who need this specific level of care.
 
This facility is licensed and staffed to provide care to the residents assessed as needing this level of care.
 
In the case of an illness, we will seek assistance and advice from a Doctor. If that illness is beyond our capabilities and facilities, then we will discuss with you and your relatives about making alternative arrangements appropriate to your needs.

It is your responsibility to inform Management fully regarding relevant medical history and current health status.

This is a safe facility in which residents can feel secure. People must ring a bell to be let in and residents who are safe to go out are able to do so.
